time travel

it never ceases to amaze me how the unravelling of a heart can,
after many years,
be knit into something new and strong and true.

. . . . . . . . .

we are dipping our toes into new chemicals and processes and it’s all very exciting!

this tin type portrait was taken by Cole Caswell at Common Ground Country Fair a few weeks ago. after emails were exchanged and words were shared in person, we found the inspiration we needed with gestures and smiles. sometimes good things have to wait… and i am remembering now that it’s all part of the process. the hard part is not carrying guilt over not jumping in sooner. i learn by doing. and it seems i’ve partnered up with the perfect match. artfarmer and myself are eager to put our large format camera to use now and start playing! we’ll be sure to share our results as we venture down this new (to us) old path of wet plate photography.

happy monday to you all!
