life as it is
a scene from our evening. mellow moods and bedtime lighting with a hint of serenade mixed with pine trees and kitty purrs. a blip, a blink, a moment frozen in time just as i want to remember it. simple and true. filtered and cropped. the truth and the optical illusion all wrapped up into one moment.
we are slipping into the dark days of december, with only the solstice to save us. for days that get dark at 4pm, this is the acceptance of reality. for all of it (the holidays, the missing, the joy, the grief, the laughter) there is music in the air and fires in the wood stove. there are candlelit dinners and meals shared around the table. there is life that embraces these dark days of december and revels in the light however we see fit.
this is life as it is.
