i tend to write about the things i know. the things that are happening around me. the things that pull at my heart. part of my job as a writer (lover, daughter, friend, mother) is to hold these moments tenderly, shifting my view to all sides in hopes to better understand this human heart.
my path with my mother’s dementia is no different. many of us are connected by this disease, unfortunately, and it’s best to know we are not alone in this. i’ve collected various links to thoughts and stories from my experience with dementia… you’ll find them below (in random order because memory and time have blurred lines when dealing with this illness).
